Construction zones can be very hazardous to your windshield. There is a long list of debris caused by roadwork and equipment. This debris can fly up and hit your windshield.


Potholes: Potholes and pothole debris can not only cause significant damage to your windshield if you hit one, the impact cause also cause the glass flex and crack or shatter. Although this is not a common occurrence, today’s road conditions and size of potholes can up the chances an impact could affect your window glass.


Following gravel trucks and semi-trucks can increase your chances of being hit with rocks or other road debris. Keep your distance, especially if you see something falling off the back-end.



Be aware of road conditions and take precautions. Avoid driving on gravel roads and construction zones when possible. Be sure to leave plenty of space between your vehicle and the one in front of you. Drive slower to reduce the impact of bumps and potholes.
